Europe’s money markets regain their poise

Central bankers are poised to begin unwinding a range of “monetary loosening” measures launched after last September’s collapse of Lehman Brothers.

Buoyed by the return to normality in interbank lending, where banks fund themselves by borrowing and lending to each other for periods ranging from overnight to up to a year, “exit strategies” are now firmly on the agenda.
