Iraqis pull security contractor’s licence

The Iraqi government has revoked the operating licence of Blackwater, a US private security company that protects American government officials in Iraq, an interior ministry spokesman said on Monday.

The ministry said it was responding to an incident on Sunday in which Blackwater security guards allegedly killed 11 people after mortar rounds landed near their vehicles in the Baghdad district of Mansour.
