The idea of conducting business today without constant resort to e-mail is unthinkable. But have legal systems managed to incorporate this new medium into contract laws established, in some cases, by centuries of precedents?

For a profession often chided for its conservative attitudes, it has certainly been displaying some deft footwork on the subject.
