Slovakia poll turnout in lap of weather gods

Robert Hajsel is praying for rain next Saturday – or at least not too much sun.

Mr Hajsel is not an umbrella salesman or a drought-stricken farmer. Rather, he heads the European parliament’s office in Slovakia, where he has been tasked with trying to boost voter turnout for next week’s European elections.
