Today we announce the finalists in our global competition for innovation to tackle climate change. They are an exciting mix and we’re asking you to help us choose the winner.

The shortlist consists of a solar stove in a box – made and distributed in Africa; a natural feed supplement to stop cows producing so much methane; a technique for fixing carbon in the soil as charcoal; an aerodynamic wheel cover to reduce fuel consumption in lorries; and an air conditioning system based on evaporation.
