Gartmore asset management group has valued its planned initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange at between £730m and £870m, or a slight discount to its main industry rivals.
Hellman & Friedman, US private equity group, plans to sell £80m of shares at a price of 250p to 330p each in Gartmore’s IPO later this month. Its management – including star fund manager Roger Guy – aims to sell about £40m of shares.
