Dow closes above 10,000

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed above 10,000 on Wednesday, the first time the bluechip barometer has been that high since October of last year.

Wednesday’s rally was powered by better-than-expected earnings from Intel and JP Morgan Chase and after September retail sales surpassed estimates.
