DSG offers hope as sales decline eases

DSG International, the electrical goods retailer, said it had agreed to sell its Polish arm for €1, three months after announcing the disposal of its Hungarian operations for the same nominal sum.

The withdrawal from Poland was disclosed on Wednesday as DSG issued a trading update that showed that the pace of its like-for-like sales decline was easing, as strong trading in the Nordic region partially offset continued weak performance in the UK and Ireland.
