First Eastern joins forces with Evolution

First Eastern Financial Investment Group has agreed to buy 51 per cent of the China-focused subsidiary of Evolution Group, creating a joint venture that is believed to be the first Chinese-controlled UK investment bank.

First Eastern will invest £495,000 ($684,000), and Evolution Group will put in £405,000 into Evolution Securities China, which currently has offices in London, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
