Rock and tax wobble City’s financial crown

Six months ago the City of London was riding high. Its Global Financial Centres Index showed it to be number one in the world, comfortably in front of New York and far ahead of European pretenders such as Zurich, Frankfurt and Paris.

This week’s publication of the latest version of the index tells a very different story.
