N Korea talks end with no breakthrough

The challenges North Korea and the US face in reaching agreement over Pyongyang?s nuclear disarmament were starkly underlined on Friday when the latest round of six-party talks broke off without any progress.

After reaching an agreement in principle during the fourth round of talks, Washington on Friday said Pyongyang was accelerating its production of nuclear material while North Korea claimed Washington was impeding the negotiations with financial sanctions.
