Account changes frozen to 2009

The International Accounting Standards Board will on Monday unveil its most significant attempt yet to address complaints that it is out of touch with users and propagating new rules too quickly.

The IASB is due to announce that it will not require the application of any standards currently under development before January 2009, giving countries using the rules a much-needed period of stability.
