Tokyo stocks continue fall amid US fears

Japanese stocks continued to fall on Thursday on fears about the US economy and global security.

The Nikkei 225 declined 0.9 per cent to 17,453.51. The broader Topix slid 0.7 per cent to 1,740.11. The falls were evenly spread between export and domestically focused stocks.
