Quintain hits record high on talk Kemsley has bought 5% holding

Quintain Estates & Development hit a record high yesterday amid talk that a high-profile property investor had amassed a sizeable holding in the Greenwich Peninsular and Wembley property company.

Quintain shares advanced 4.3 per cent to 907½p in heavy volume on rumours Paul Kemsley, vice-chairman of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, was the beneficial owner of the 5 per cent stake acquired by Man Financial, the securities house, in the past couple of weeks.
