Kaupthing to chip away at Mosaic assets

Mosaic Fashions, the stable of clothing brands, is set to be broken up in an administration that will see some chains sold and some stores shut.

Kaupthing, the failed Icelandic bank, which is owed about £450m by Mosaic – whose brands include Principles and Karen Millen – will take control of the majority of the group and use the pre-packaged administration process to shed unprofitable sites.
