Hospital chief casts doubt on NHS links

The private sector is increasingly wondering whether it is wasting its time in trying to build a business offering operations and treatments to NHS patients, a leading private hospital operator said on Wednesday.

NHS hospitals were putting pressure on their consultants to refrain from treating NHS patients in private hospitals under the “choice” programme that offers a selection of provider.
