Last year saw continued strong demand for industrial robots, especially from Asia's expanding automotive industry, and further robust growth is forecast during the next three years, according to a survey published today.

The annual world robotics report by the International Federation of Robotics and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe says robot sales rose by 17 per cent last year, propelled by a 29 per cent increase in deliveries to Asian nations.
