With a string of mega-acquisitions behind it, CME Group has realised there may be limits to how fast it can grow in the US. Now, it is turning its attention to the rest of the world.

While the group has had a presence in Europe and Asia for some years, its offices have largely been limited to sales. But in recent months the CME has been on a recruitment drive, tripling its staff in London to almost 30 and doubling it in Asia. An office in Mumbai, India will be opened shortly.
