Crown Prince Abdullah of Saudi Arabia arrives in Crawford, Texas, today with the strains in Saudi Arabia's special relationship with the US apparently on the mend.

The last time he visited George W. Bush's ranch was in April 2002 in the aftermath of the September 11 2001 attacks in which Saudi citizens played the most prominent role.
