RV sales fall as families stay home

David Gorin’s campground near Sarasota, Florida, is unusually full this summer. Instead of driving their motorhomes and campers to the cooler mountains and resorts of South and North Carolina, as they have in past years, many local residents are holidaying closer to home.

“Almost all our business is from within 75 miles,” says Mr Gorin, a former chief executive of the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds.
