Like a test cricketer who aims to notch up the runs steadily over a long innings, the goal of the fund manager is to achieve consistent long-term performance, says Peter Morgan.

So when it came to naming a boutique fund management business, Mr Morgan and Warwick Negus, his then partner, looked to Don Bradman for inspiration. They settled on 452 Capital after the legendary Australian batsman’s top score, a world record achieved at a consistent rate over two days.
