GTE salvage plans to be studied

Administrators for Global Trader Europe are this weekend studying proposals to salvage the stricken online spread trading company.

Smith & Williamson, the financial services group, was appointed administrator on Friday after GTE was forced to close its doors to new business due to a deficit in its regulatory capital.
