Developing software seems horribly akin to the punishment meted out to Sisyphus in Greek mythology: he was made to roll a boulder up a hill for eternity but as he reached the top, it would roll back down and the exercise would begin again.
The boulder in today’s case is the software product and the curse placed on the IT professional and the customer is that despite all efforts to eradicate them, bugs and patches are eternal and inevitable.
