Wider spread aids John Wood

John Wood Group, the UK-based oilfield services company, highlighted buoyant conditions in the sector with a 42 per cent rise in annual profits as it moves away from its North Sea heartland.

Revenue growth was well spread geographically as Allister Langlands, chief executive, confirmed that 70 per cent of its revenue now came from outside Europe and only 20 per cent of profit from the North Sea.
