Cold weather puts crude back above $100

Oil settled at record highs back above $100 a barrel on Tuesday while tin prices hit a record and silver reached a 27-year high.

Nymex April West Texas Intermediate rose $1.65 to $100.88 a barrel after reaching a session high of $101.15, supported by colder weather in the US, dollar weakness and geopolitical concerns.
