Notoriously complex no win, no fee deals are to be made easier to understand to protect clients from unscrupulous solicitors.

Regulation of the deals, officially known as conditional fee agreements, has been so complicated that many consumers, and sometimes even lawyers, have not understood what they were signing up to.
