Companies shift focus to Tory conference

The Conservatives have attracted more delegates than Labour to the main party conference corporate event for the first time in at least a decade – reflecting a broader switch in business allegiances.

The party conference season marks an important bellwether of how companies see the balance of power shifting. The extensive corporate presence at each event is a valued source of revenue for the parties, as companies and trade associations pay five and six-figure sums to lobby politicians.
