Non-stick gum to hit the streets

A revolutionary non-stick chewing gum, which could help save the UK £150m in clean-up costs, is set to go on sale next year after completing street trials with local councils.

The Festival of Science heard on Thursday that the “Clean Gum” can be easily removed from pavements, shoes and clothes. It was developed at Bristol University and is being commercialised by Revolymer, a start-up company.
