Guangdong ‘bright spot’ for Citi

Michael Zink, the executive appointed by Citigroup to manage Guangdong Development Bank , laughs when he recalls reactions to the vigorous board meetings he sits in as president of the Chinese lender.

“Some people say, ‘It sure is noisy – why can’t those guys get along?’,” Mr Zink jokes. “But they are meant to be active and ask questions. This board is going to end up being the kind of board other banks want to have.”
