Move towards co-ed schools ups pace

One of Britain’s highest performing private schools is set to invite girls into its sixth form, as the move away from single-sex education gathers pace.

The decision by King’s College School in Wimbledon follows similar moves by several boys’ schools, after a hiatus when the early – 1990s drive towards private co-education lost steam.
