Investors in TNT warn on Royal Mail deal

The fraught efforts to part-privatise Royal Mail encountered further difficulties on Sunday after investors in TNT, the frontrunner to buy a stake in Britain’s state-owned postal operator, cautioned against the move.

Some TNT investors argue that buying a 30 per cent stake in Royal Mail could leave the company with neither an exit strategy nor the degree of control necessary for it to turn the business round.
