Coutts responds to rise of affluent women

Sarah Deaves, Coutts’ chief executive, is betting a makeover, which will come courtesy of British designer Matthew Williamson this autumn, will help convince the growing number of wealthy female entrepreneurs to deposit their money with the bank.

According to a recent study by Barclays Wealth, by 2020, 53 per cent of UK millionaires will be women, tipping the gender balance and forcing male-dominated private banks to rethink themselves.
