It is relatively straightforward to paint a bearish scenario for the world economy – but it is more interesting to ask what could go “right”, says Binit Patel, economist at Goldman Sachs.
“We recently made several changes to our growth forecasts around the world to reflect continued downward momentum in economic data,” he says. “We may still have to make further downward adjustments to our global views.”
