Mortgage Shop prepares to bridge divide

A little more than a year ago Siobhan McAleer decided to launch her Mortgage Shop brokerage brand in the Republic of Ireland.

The company, which she founded as a 24-year-old in 1992, had already established itself north of the border as Northern Ireland’s largest mortgage brokerage chain, accounting for one out of every 10 mortgages sold in the province.
