Orderly transition as JCB eyes US improvement

JCB on Friday signalled a broadening of its management responsibilities, announcing a new chief executive for the group while shifting the incumbent to take charge of its activities in the US.

Matthew Taylor, chief operating officer at Britain’s largest maker of construction machines, is stepping up to take the chief executive’s job from John Patterson, who has been in this role since 1998.
