Cameron defends Duncan after demotion talk

David Cameron sprang to the defence of Alan Duncan, the shadow business secretary, on Monday, amid rumours that he is a prime candidate for demotion in the forthcoming Tory reshuffle.

In an FT interview, the Conservative leader said Mr Duncan’s decision to go on a parliamentary skiing trip, rather than attend the Tories’ recession tour, came after he had been on duty over Christmas.
