European corporate credit markets suffer

European corporate credit markets suffered more pain on Wednesday even as the US staged a partial recovery on the back of improving equity performances.

The sharp correction followed the biggest single day moves in the US and European junk-rated debt derivative indices since their inceptions on Tuesday. The European iTraxx Crossover index closed on Wednesday with a pricing of risk at higher levels than the previous day.
