Honduras negotiations off to rocky start

Talks in Costa Rica to resolve Honduras’ political crisis got off to an inauspicious start on Thursday as neither side appeared to leave any room for an eventual compromise.

Roberto Micheletti, Honduras’ interim president, avoided any reference to concrete advances with Manuel Zelaya, the 56-year-old rancher who was removed from power 11 days ago after soldiers arrested him and forced him to leave the country.
