M&C Saatchi, the advertising group, warned that its strong first-half performance was unlikely to be repeated over the rest of the year, writes Tim Bradshaw.

Revenues in the six months to June 30 grew 18.7 per cent on a like-for-like basis to £51.8m, with pre-tax profits more than doubling to £8m. A strong performance in the UK, accounting for half of sales, offset weaker spending from clients in the US and Spain.
