Poland will not be able to join the euro by the target date of 2012, the country’s deputy finance minister, Ludwik Kotecki, said on Wednesday.
Speaking during a debate on the amendment of this year’s budget in the upper chamber of parliament, Mr Kotecki said the macroeconomic situation had completely changed since last September when the country’s prime minister, Donald Tusk, announced the goal to join the euro in 2012.
