Crane group Konecranes eyes fresh ports

For an industrialist who reckons global demand for his equipment this year will fall by 50 per cent – and may see only a fractional recovery next year – Pekka Lundmark looks remarkably cheerful.

“Considering the longer term, there are a lot of good opportunities for expansion despite the low level of current demand,” says the chief executive of Konecranes, the world’s biggest maker of industrial cranes.
