Cameron sets stage for ‘great fightback’

David Cameron on Sunday vowed that Blackpool would witness the start of the “great Conservative fightback”, as the Tory leader promised to use his annual conference to persuade Britain his party represented “the real change”.

Mr Cameron’s party arrived at the seaside in good spirits, energised by the prospect of an early general election in spite of opinion polls giving Labour a double-digit lead.
