Wall St up as economic data hints of soft landing

Wall Street’s bullish run continued on Tuesday as soothing data and talk of a possible recovery in the housing market from a home builder boosted expectations that the economy was poised for a soft landing.

Stocks were buoyed by a survey of non-manufacturing activity that showed a healthier-than-expected expansion, and news that US labour costs had moderated during the third quarter, alleviating concerns that wage gains could feed inflation.
