From Ms Monica Cooper.

Sir, Whatever the origins of Christmas, and I contend that they are almost entirely pagan, it is now celebrated in Christendom to mark the birth of Christ. As a Christian I am deeply offended on behalf of the faith by the remarks and opinions in your editorial "Goodwill to all men" (December 18). I wonder whether these secular views would ever take issue with Eid, Ramadan, Diwali or any other religion's deeply loved and respected festivals. Another example of the media aiming their secular fire at the easy target of Christianity.
