Eurozone annual inflation has turned positive for the first time in seven months but is still undershooting the European Central Bank’s goal by a wide margin.

Annual inflation in the 16-country region was 0.6 per cent in November, according to a preliminary estimate by Eurostat, the European Union’s statistical office, released on Monday. That was the first positive reading since April, when the annual inflation rate was also 0.6 per cent.
