Rescue hopes ebbing at Woolworths

Woolworths was running out of time to prevent administration for the whole group after failing to get immediate support from creditors.

People involved with talks between the retailer’s board and Hilco UK, which wants to buy stores, and creditors, including Burdale and GMAC, were struggling to come to an agreement to safeguard Woolworths’ future.
