Greenwich ideal for time-sensitive sculpture

The National Maritime Museum in Greenwich is not one museum but many, encompassing the Royal Observatory, the home of Greenwich Mean Time and the Queen's House. Its collections boast a staggering range of art and artefacts, telling stories of navigation and seafaring, astronomy and time-keeping.

These are rich historic seams for any contemporary artist to mine, and an exhibition of new work by the young sculptor Conrad Shawcross shows the timeless character of its themes.
