Russia begins to put squeeze on Georgians

Four Russian officers arrested as spies by Georgia last week were on Monday night on an aircraft provided by Russia’s emergencies ministry heading for Moscow – but most other flights between the two countries have been grounded.

If Georgia hoped its decision to hand the officers over would defuse tensions with its big northern neighbour, it was mistaken.
