Fidelity calls for SEC to reopen debate

Fidelity, the world's biggest fund manager, has thrown its weight behind attempts to persuade the Securities and Exchange Commission to reopen public debate on proposed reforms on US stock trading rules.

The company has called on the SEC to republish its plans after it emerged that officials had privately changed the proposals, less than a month before the commissioners are due to vote on the new rules.
