Lufthansa in spat with Moscow over cargo hub

The Moscow government has stopped Lufthansa cargo aircraft flying over Russia in an attempt to strong-arm the carrier into moving a cargo and refuelling hub from Kazakhstan to Siberia, ac­cording to German officials.

They said Moscow’s tactics had stoked fears among other airlines in the European Union about their business interests in the region, and had added to worries about a resurgent Russia.
